How it works
How Mahallify works, for participants and hosts
Mahallify connects people who want to do something together with the hosts who organize it. Here is what happens from the first search to the day of the meetup.
Joining a meetup
- Discover. Open Explore and filter public meetups by category, date, and location. No account is needed to look. Each meetup page shows the title, host, date, location, and how many people are going.
- Sign in with Google. Joining requires a Google account. Mahallify does not use phone numbers or passwords.
- Join or request a spot. Some meetups let you join right away. If the host requires approval, your request is sent to the host, who accepts or declines it. Meetups can also have a maximum number of participants.
- Chat and attend. Each meetup has a chat for coordinating details. The host can mark attendance after the meetup.
Hosting a meetup
- Create it. Choose a category, add a description, date, and location, and set the details that matter: whether it is free, how many people can join, whether you approve participants, plus any rules and what to bring.
- Wait for review. New meetups are reviewed by the Mahallify team before they appear publicly. This keeps fake and unsafe listings off the platform.
- Manage participants. Approve or decline requests, edit the meetup if plans change, and use the chat to keep everyone informed.
Reporting problems
If a meetup or a user looks wrong, report it from within Mahallify. Reasons include a fake meetup, harassment, spam, an unsafe activity, a wrong category, or inappropriate content. Moderators review reports and can act on them. Read more about our approach on the About page.
